How did you become involved with Econ Ecol Inc? I went to high school with Ezra so we’ve known each other for a while and he reached out to get me involved! I have always loved his wood work and think the idea sounds quite interesting so I was excited to be asked to help out!
What do you feel is the goal/purpose of this movement? The goal is to get individuals involved in a social experiment that represents social structure within a community. I really enjoy and believe in the idea that something hand made and creative can bring about a social change and represent something larger and more important than the work itself. Bringing community and important issues to the for front of a community is very important within a state like VT, especially during a time of political and social turmoil.
How can this movement be successful? I think the success will be seen at the auction. If there is enough publicity and hype about the whole event, more people will get involved and more will then turn out and be a part of the entire movement! I think getting other artists involved will help with spreading the word!
Will you be attending the Great Auction of 2017? Yes of course! I will be going away for a few weeks in May but Ezra said that it should be taking place earlier so yes!
